Carbles — Privacy Policy

Carbles has no accounts, no ads, and no tracking, and collects no personal data.

What stays on your device

Carbles stores the following only on your device, and it never leaves your device:

• Your in-app display name (used only to label your seat)
• Saved local games in progress
• Your local play statistics, achievements, skill rating, and streaks
• Your app preferences (such as language and whether reminders are enabled)

Deleting the app deletes all of this information.

Online games

Online multiplayer needs no account and no sign-in. When you play online, your chosen display name and your game moves are relayed through the Carbles game server to the other players at your table.

• Live games are relayed in real time and are not stored after the game ends.
• Relaxed-pace games are kept on the server so play can continue across days; a game and its seat names are deleted after it finishes or after two weeks of inactivity, whichever comes first.
• Game codes are random and unguessable; there are no public profiles and no way to look up players.

Notifications

If you turn on Reminders, Carbles schedules occasional reminder notifications locally on your device — nothing is sent to any server.

If you play a relaxed-pace online game with notifications allowed, your device's anonymous push token is used to deliver "it's your move" notifications for that game. The token identifies your device to the notification service, not you, and is not used for anything else.

What Carbles does not do

• No accounts, sign-in, or personal information requested
• No analytics or tracking sent off the device
• No advertising and no advertising identifiers
• No third-party data sharing of any kind

Children

Carbles is a family-friendly board game. Because no personal data is collected from any user, no personal data is collected from children.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of Carbles adds any feature that touches new data (for example, opt-in anonymous usage statistics), this policy will be updated here first, and the feature will be clearly disclosed in the app.
