Carbles — The Marbles & Cards Board Game App
Race your marbles around the board and into your goal — but every move depends on the cards in your hand. Online, solo vs AI, or pass & play. Free, no ads.
What is Carbles?
Carbles is the classic marbles and cards game — the board game families play with a deck of Rook or standard playing cards, known around different kitchen tables as Pegs and Jokers, Wahoo, Tock, or Aggravation. Each player races four marbles out of their lot, once around the board, and into their finish lane. There are no dice: every move comes from the cards in your hand, so every turn is a small puzzle — play a card and make it count.
This app is a faithful digital adaptation of that game for iPhone, iPad, and Android. Aces and Kings break marbles out, Jacks swap any two marbles on the board, Sevens split their steps, Fours march backwards — and landing on a rival sends their marble all the way home. If you grew up with the wooden board, welcome home. If you've never played, you'll learn it in one hand.

Frequently asked questions
What is Carbles?
Carbles is a classic American marbles and cards board game: each player races four marbles out of their lot, once around the board, and into their finish lane — but every move is decided by the cards in your hand, not dice. This site is the home of the free Carbles app for iPhone, iPad, and Android.
How do you play Carbles?
Play an Ace, King, or Joker to move a marble out of your lot onto your start spot, then move marbles forward by the value of the cards you play. Jacks swap marbles, Sevens split their steps, Fours move backward. Landing on any marble sends it home. The first player or team to fill their finish lane wins. See the full rules.
Is Carbles like Pegs and Jokers or Wahoo?
Yes — Carbles belongs to the same family of marbles-and-cards race games as Pegs and Jokers, Wahoo, Tock, and Aggravation. If you grew up with any of them, Carbles will feel instantly familiar: the biggest differences are house-rule details like how Sevens split and how the finish lane is entered.
Can you play Carbles solo or against the computer?
Yes. The app supports solo play against 1 to 11 AI opponents with Easy, Medium, and Hard difficulty — the AI plans ahead, blocks your path, and punishes loose play.
Can you play Carbles online with friends?
Yes. Create an online game and share a 4-letter code, or use Quick Match. iPhone, iPad, and Android all play at the same table, and relaxed-pace games wait for you and send a notification when it's your turn.
Is Carbles free?
Yes — the Carbles app is free on both the App Store and Google Play, with no ads, no account, and no in-app purchases.
